Wrong diagnosis can cost a life..

Wrong diagnosis can cost a life…

A few weeks ago, someone walked into a chemist complaining of persistent fever and body weakness. Without any proper test, he was given malaria drugs and sent home. It felt like the usual thing… something many people do every day.

But days passed, and he wasn’t getting better.

Instead, his condition worsened. By the time he finally went to the hospital for proper testing, it turned out not to be malaria at all. What he had was something entirely different, and it had already progressed.

That delay made everything more complicated.

This is how dangerous wrong diagnosis can be. Treating based on assumption instead of confirmation is like fighting an enemy you don’t even understand. You may be doing something, but you are not solving the real problem.

In many cases, symptoms can look similar but mean completely different things. Fever is not always malaria. Pain is not always something minor. Without proper testing, you are only guessing.

And in health, guessing is risky.

This is where the importance of the laboratory comes in. Proper diagnosis helps to identify the exact problem, so the right treatment can be given at the right time.

Because when treatment is based on the wrong information, it doesn’t just waste time… it can cost a life.

Don’t assume. Don’t guess.

Test first.
