Self-medication is silently killing people.

Self-medication is silently killing people…

It has become so normal that many people don’t even see it as a problem anymore. Headache? You already know the drug. Stomach pain? You prescribe for yourself. Fever? You just “treat” it at home without thinking twice.

But the truth is, not every symptom means the same thing.

That headache you are treating randomly could be something more serious. That fever you keep suppressing might be your body trying to tell you something deeper. Yet, instead of finding out the cause, we focus only on temporary relief.

One of the biggest dangers is wrong diagnosis. You treat what you think is the problem, while the actual illness continues to grow quietly. By the time you finally go to the hospital, it has become something more complicated.

Another issue is drug misuse. Taking the wrong drugs, wrong dosage, or even mixing medications carelessly can cause damage to vital organs like the liver and kidneys. Some of these effects don’t show immediately, but they build up over time.

Antibiotics are another serious concern. People take them without proper testing or prescription, and this is leading to resistance. The same drugs that used to work before may no longer be effective when they are truly needed.

The hospital should not be your last option when things get worse. It should be your first step in understanding what is wrong. Proper diagnosis saves time, money, and most importantly, lives.

Your health is not something to guess with. Stop playing doctor for yourself.

Sometimes, what you think is small… is not small.
