Not everyone saying Eid Mubarak is okay.

Not everyone saying Eid Mubarak is okay…

This season is supposed to be filled with joy, laughter, and celebration. New clothes, good food, family visits, and beautiful moments. That is what Eid is meant to look like.

But behind many of those smiles are heavy hearts.
Some people are celebrating with empty pockets. They had plans, but the economy had other plans for them. What they imagined for this Eid is very different from what they are actually experiencing.

Some are avoiding gatherings, not because they don’t want to be there, but because they are tired of questions. “What have you achieved?” “What are you doing now?” Sometimes, silence feels safer than explanations.

Some are carrying responsibilities they can barely handle. Trying to provide, trying to meet expectations, trying not to disappoint their families… even when things are not working.

And then there are those who are simply not okay mentally. Smiling outside, but battling thoughts, pressure, and quiet pain that nobody sees.

So when you hear Eid Mubarak from someone, understand that it might be coming from strength, not happiness.

Be kind this season. Be gentle with people. Not everything you see is the full story.

Eid Mubarak 🤍
