Don't let people know your plans
I also stick to this doctrine that "don't let people know your plans." But I reiterate it as "don't let so many people know your plans."

Why should everyone know your plan? Are you a government official or someone elected who is trying to fulfill promises? I see no reason to be spreading each step of your plan to people when you have no certainty that they will love to see your progress.
Verily, there are people who deserve to know your moves for them to guide you, advise you, console you, and felicitate with you. But do so with caution!
Don't let people know your plans. Let them think you are boiling water when you are cooking rice.
